Pillar of RadianceIgniting the 5 Inner Centres
This simple practice is a distinct attribute of the H*E*A*R*T* Radiance program in that it can be easily used during the day in order to recollect the experience of more complete awareness. Approach this practice by first completing Resonant Tuning. After expanding Heart Radiance beyond the limitations of consensus reality, commence Continuous Breathing and put hands on tops of thighs, palms up. Continuous Breathing as you continue to open the heart ever more, sighing and expanding on the out breath. Next, begin to sigh on both the in- and out-breaths, continuously breathing all the while. As you do this, gradually connect thumb and index, then begin whorling. Next, as you continue to radiate from the heart, expand your attention to notice the throat centre, then the solar plexus. Allow these two centres to simultaneously open, using the momentum of the secondary mandorlas formed by the intersection of the original three centres, belly, head, and heart. Gradually expand your simultaneous awareness to embrace all 5 centres, allowing them to open with equal radiance, which may appear to your inner vision as all or partly gold, white, or beyond colour-- the colour of infinity.
Gradually, once having attained the satisfaction of simultaneous ignition of these 5 “inner” centres (i.e., as distinct from “polar centres” of crown and base), then return to the heart. Emphasise heart opening and direct healing energy, gradually blessing all your relations. Completion of blessing leads to sitting in rapture, palms once again open on top of the thighs. No intention is required, only cease to cherish your personal identity. This has, since old times, been called “Opening to the Infinite.”
Later, when you rise from your sitting practice and begin to go about your life in the world, you may at any moment remember to recollect the sensation/ satisfaction of the ‘energies in peace and harmony.” Simply sit or stand with erect spine and invoke the double sighing breath with continuous breathing. Begin whorling, and, as you in-vision the radiance, begin to expand from each centre simultaneously. I suggest that you practice this awareness for 3 breaths, then, as you continue with the same breathing and gesture, begin to gently adjust these 5 centres so that they are felt to be in a straight line, all the way up to the centre of Heaven, and all the way down to the centre of Earth. This is called “Alignment with the Infinite.” The above pausing and recollecting during the day needn’t take any more than 3 minutes at any one practicing, however can be extended for as long as is desirable.
